Yana Feldman - Instructor
Yana Feldman began her ballet training under Olga Kresin and Lev Vladimirovich Asaulyak in Philadelphia, PA. She trained for two summers in Odessa, Ukraine with Elvira Karavayeva, as well as at the Royal Ballet School in London, and the Washington Ballet School under Kee Juan Han. She has competed in many national and international ballet competitions including the Youth America Grand Prix in Philadelphia (1st place) and New York (Top 12 Finalist), Shanghai IBC, Moscow IBC, Tanzolymp Festival in Germany (1st place), New York IBC, and Premio Roma in Italy (Awarded prize for "Best Artistry").
Mrs. Feldman has been teaching children for 10 years. She began teaching creative movement and gymnastics for preschool aged children in the Philadelphia area in 2007, and ballet classes for various ages in 2008. She has prepared students for the Youth America Grand Prix Competition, and she has most recently worked as Ballet Master for the Savannah Ballet Theatre.
Alongside her ballet career, Mrs. Feldman has completed her Bachelor's in Developmental Psychology and Neuroscience and has worked as a Research Assistant at Temple University, Philadelphia, conducting EEG studies on infants and behavioral research on adolescents. She went on to complete her Master's in Public Administration at the University of West Florida where she also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant administering courses in Strategic Management for Public/Nonprofit Organizations, and Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship for Public Professionals.
Mrs. Feldman recently moved to the Fort Hood area with her husband and toddler and looks forward to her first year with Texas Metropolitan Ballet!
